Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pumps

Looking for new ways to reduce your energy costs?

Our large range of Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pumps offer an alternative choice to traditional heating systems, delivering effective, low carbon heating and hot water. They are a perfect alternative if you are currently running on oil or Calor gas.

Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air, in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or warm air convectors and hot water in your home or business.

Air source heat pumps qualify for the government Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). This is currently set at 7.5p per kWh of power that you generate, but this is expected to rise to 10.02p p/kWh in Spring 2017.

Air Source Heat Pumps require electricity to power the pump but for every unit of electricity used by the pump, you get between two and three units of heat – making this an efficient way to heat a building.  If you already have solar panels installed then you can use the electricity generated by your solar panels to power the Air Source Heat pump, further improving your energy efficiency.

Ecodan For The Home

Key Features:

Self-contained unit only requiring water and electric connections
No need for gas supply, flues, ventilation
Reduced VAT to 5% for domestic applications (Zero VAT for new build)
Helps achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes
Operates with outside temperatures as low as -20ºC
Available as a stand-alone or complete packaged system
Market leading capacity performance at low outdoor temperatures
Recognised by the Noise Abatement Society for industry leading low noise levels
Hybrid function, for use with conventional boilers
Energy monitoring as standard

For every 1kW of electricity consumed by one of our air source heat pump systems, 3.2kW of heat can be delivered, 69% of which is renewable energy.

Ecodan For Business

Buildings need heating, it constitutes the greatest part of their energy demand, however there is also a pressing need to increase energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and incorporate renewable energy.

Using advanced heat pump technology, our commercial Ecodan Air Source Heat Pumps can effectively address the three key issues we all face:
Energy efficiency
Carbon reduction
Renewable energy

Specifically designed for large applications, the Ecodan CAHV air source heat pump monobloc system can operate singularly, or form part of a multiple unit system. The CAHV also comes equipped with a wide range of controller features as standard.

Renewable heat pumps:

Help to achieve renewable energy targets
Provide high levels of efficiency, cutting running costs as well as CO2 emissions
Are easy to design, reducing installation time and minimising disruption
Offer cost effective renewable heating, suitable for retro-fit or new build
Are fully scalable and able to work independently or in conjunction with other systems
Provide sanitary hot water
