Energy Gain and the community: Life-Saving Defibrillator Installed at Chassen Park

Energy Gain and the community- Life saving Defibrillator installed at Abbotsfield (Chassen) Park.

We are proud to be supporting our local community by donating a defibrillator to Chassen Park. This essential addition enhances the network of life-saving equipment available in our community.

Chassen Park is a popular destination, especially on Sundays, when the Urmston & District Model Engineering Society (UDMES) opens their ride-on trains to the public. Recognising the importance of having a defibrillator in such a busy area, Energy Gain were happy to work together with Friends of Chassen Park and support the fundraising efforts.

A message from the Managing Director of Energy Gain, Craig Jones - "Living locally and frequently visiting the park, I've seen the incredible efforts by 'The Friends of Chassen Park' to enhance this public space. Their dedication and volunteer work are truly inspiring. When I learned about their fundraising for a defibrillator, I knew we had to get involved. Thanks to Rachel from 'The Friends of Chassen Park' and UDMES for their collaboration. In the critical moments of a cardiac arrest, having quick access to a defibrillator can dramatically increase survival rates from 5% to an impressive 50% to 70%. We're proud to contribute to the safety and well-being of our community."

Friends of Chassen Park also expressed their gratitude: “We have always aimed to install a defibrillator at Chassen Park as it is a crucial piece of equipment that can save lives. Thanks to Energy Gain UK Ltd., this goal has now become a reality for our community.”

The miniature railway at Chassen has been in operation since 1948. It is with great thanks to the society for allowing the defibrillator to be installed on their building, ensuring quick and easy access in emergencies.

Urmston & District Model Engineering Society: “We are proud to house the defibrillator on our wall and hope that no one has to use it!”

At Energy Gain, we are pleased to support initiatives that enhance community safety and well-being. This defibrillator installation ensures Chassen Park remains a safe place for everyone, potentially saving lives.
