Domestic - LED Lighting
Why Choose LED Lighting?
Lighting accounts for 7 per cent of a typical household’s energy bill, so cutting your lighting bill is one of the easiest ways to save energy and money.
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are particularly good for replacing spotlights and dimmable lights and LEDs reach full brightness instantly. You will enjoy a healthier, crisp, bright light quality.
LEDs contain no mercury or lead and emit no UV rays, infrared or ultra violet radiation. They are an easy way to reduce your CO2 emissions and carbon footprint.
By replacing all halogen downlighters in your home with LED alternatives, you can reduce your electricity bills. Typically by switching to LEDs you can reduce your lighting electricity consumption by up to 90%.

Do LEDs Take A Long Time To Light Ip?
Unlike many energy saving light bulbs LEDs reach full brightness instantly.
Do LEDs Produce Low Quality, Harsh Light?
The light quality of LEDs does vary, however at Energy Gain UK we use only the highest quality LEDs that give a high quality light, as good as a traditional light bulb. If you require an LED that produces a similar light to a traditional light bulb then you need to request a ‘soft white’ bulb.
Do LEDs Flicker
No, they turn on about 1000 times faster than we can see.
